Direct investment into 5G mobile infrastructure to support the NBN

There are many different perspectives when it comes to our need of the internet. Some people are happy with the internet that they already have, and think that it is a waste of resources to build more infrastructure. Then there are people who think that the quality of internet access in Australia should be improved to help us keep up with the rest of the world, and develop competitive industries. And, of course, there is always people who just don't care. I do think though that people in different regions will be likely to think differently because some suburbs and areas seem to have better internet than others, and people living in bad internet areas are likely to want to have the government invest in broadband and 5G mobile.

The Progress Party believes that government should provide quality infrastructure for the community, in a way that is equitable to all. That aligns with a liberal viewpoint, that is strong on human rights and equality, and that wants a progressive society. A conservative might see a heavy investment, to provide high-speed internet to the whole country, as a waste of money, preferring instead to ensure quality internet is available to capital cities and industry.
